This afternoon we went on a "short" drive into the nearby mountains. We just started to drive on a road to see where it would take us. We ended up spending more than 1 1/2 hours going into the mountains (it was a lot quicker coming down and out of them) and we had no idea where we were. The view was BEAUTIFUL! Here is a picture of the view and a video of this incredibly scary tunnel we had to go through!

Looks like you had an interesting drive! We like to explore on drives sometimes too but unfortunately, Chris always know which direction we're going. Takes the adventure out of it! And, yes, I do have to agree, the third child's 1st year does fly by much faster. :)
It looks like a beautiful area, and a scary tunnel. I love the scared or uncertain laughter in the video! How fun!
Even though you didn't know where you were going, it sounds like you had a fun time getting there!
