Waiting for Santa

This is how I found Ike when I finally finished hauling presents from my parents back to our house. He was waiting up to leave cookies out for Santa but didn't quite make it. It was adorable!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We pray that you all had a wonderful Christmas! We also hope that the true reason for the day, Christ, was remembered. "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us". May His love for you and the precious gift He brought us that day be your reason for joy this season. God bless you all!

A visit with Santa

It frustrates me so much that you now have to pay to see Santa at many malls. Does that seem wrong to anyone else? Ok, so you don't actually have to pay to see him, but if you want pictures you aren't allowed to take your own, you have to buy a "reasonably" priced picture from the "professionals"(at least $17). No way, I tell you. So, we kind-of found a way around it, and here are the results. Elle wouldn't even go near Santa, and Joe screamed when I put him on his lap. Ike loved Santa and had to ask him where his reindeer were.

A visit from the Berges

Tuesday the B's stopped by on their way to their Grandma and Grandpa's. We had another fun and "lively" visit. It's never boring when the 7 kids are together!
Josiah, Elle, and Joey played us a lovely song!

Adam then sang an original just for Noelle!

The Grinch

Ike was in the Sunday School Christmas program last weekend. They did an adapted version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Of course I am biased, but I thought he was the cutest little Who!

Hey Quin, want a ride???

Definitely a White Christmas!

We are loving the snow (not the extreme cold)....okay, the kids and Kris are loving it. Andy has probably had enough for the next couple years! Ike has been out blowing snow with Grandpa a couple times already, Elle is helping Dad shovel, and Joey is just wishing he could be out more (he's stuck inside with a cold).

Haircut time

Joey was in desperate need of a haircut, so out came the clippers.

Where did my "baby" go? Now he looks like a little boy!

Yummy....lemon

This pic is for Uncle Kaare who used to LOVE eating these things!

Fun in the snow

The day after we got back from AR and SD, MN received it's first significant snowfall of the season. Ike and Elle had a blast playing in it!

As you can imagine, Andy was very excited to shovel! Ha, ha....not really!

I love the snow! It is so beautiful!

While Joey slept, Ike and Elle played in the cold white stuff

Christmas with the Larsens

On our way home from Arkansas we made a slight "detour" to SD where we spent the weekend celebrating Christmas with the Larsens. Uncle Greg even did all the cooking...it was really good, too!!!

Hugs good-bye

We did it!! We got a pic of all the cousins!!!

The Chef!

Final Arkansas pics

We had such a great time visiting with Grandpa and Grandma L! Thank you both for a wonderful visit! We miss you already!

World Championship Duck Calling Contest

Stuttgart is the Duck Capital of the World. Ike learned how to do a proper duck call from an award winner. Downtown is a sea of camouflage and hunting dogs. Duck call memorabelia is readily available.
Here are the 4 and 5 year olds practicing the three basic duck calls. We forgot what they are.

Tractor Rides from Grandpa

Grandpa gave the kids tractor rides on his new John Deer. They loved it, and probably could have riden all day!

The Clinton Library

Tuesday we ventured to Little Rock. Grandpa and Grandma took the kids for a long walk while Andy and I toured the Clinton Library. It was very neat, not to mention that it was even better because we were childless for a couple hours!!!
The Library is the cool building behind G & G's heads

Just outside the library. The Arkansas River is in the background.

Andy in the Oval Office

This is a fountain outside the library. Andy got the best angle on it!
