What is he doing???

As of recently, Andy has become somewhat of a coffee snob. First he decided we needed a burr grinder for our coffee, and then he decided to try roasting his own coffee beans. Here are some pictures of his first crack at the roasting.

Our grinder hasn't come yet, so we can't tell you if the grinder makes the coffee taste better, and we haven't tried the coffee he just roasted yet, either. I'll let you know the results.

PS-Most of you know that I am a coffee snob, but Andy becoming one has surprised even me. Could this be a new hobby for him??

Bigger is Better

What a difference 7 weeks makes!

With this ring I.....get stuck??

Joey likes to wiggle around on the floor while playing with his toys. Somehow he ended up in this position and wasn't really bothered by it.

I'm Hungry!!

The other day Elle woke up from one of her 4 hour naps (I kid you not, she has been taking 4 hour naps lately) and was VERY hungry! I warmed up her meal a little too much, so it was too hot for her. She really didn't care, she wanted it right away. I was trying to blow on it and she stuck her head down next to mine to eat it. It was a pretty funny sight!

Ike's new uniform

Isaak got his school uniform last week (they only have to wear it a couple days a week). We, of course, had to take a picture of him wearing it, and realized that he is looking so grown up these days!

Time with Mom

When Ike and Elle go to bed, Joey and I get our time together. We get some during the day, but not too much, so we enjoy what we get.

Hey Uncle Kyle, can I go hunting, too???

While Isaak was at school (of course), Noelle was playing and found his hunting hat.

Joey's discovering toys

Joey's now 11 weeks old, and this week he started to "play" with his toys. Ok, so he just bats at them, but he loves the noises they make! When he hears the rattle sound (or whatever sound the toy makes), he gets a HUGE grin on his face!

Preschool sure is tough!

Two days in a row Ike was asleep on the couch within minutes of getting home from school!

More pics

Joey spent most of his time being held...he didn't mind.

Lots of good food!

Andy tried his hand at a new game

A Weekend with Friends

This past weekend we had the opportunity to go with some friends on their family vacation. What fun!! Thanks to the Zhaps for making us feel like part of your family! Here are some pics from our weekend.

Ike and Elle enjoyed watching the HUGE fish!

"Hey Grandpa, is this what you had to do?"

The kids weren't always used to the food we were eating, so they usually just ate rice. Not to worry though, there were plenty of snacks for them to enjoy!

When Ike is away, Elle will play

If her brother saw her, well, there would be a fight!!! Ike's cars were left out at nap time and boy did Elle have fun when she got up (before Ike)!

Isaak's 1st Day of School

On his way to school (it's only 1/2 block away....very nice!!!)

Today was Isaak's 1st day of Chinese Kindergarten (the equivalent of preschool). I made Andy take him, knowing that I would cry if I did. His teacher said that he did great and didn't cry except for a minute or so after Andy left. What a relief!

After school he showed me all the stuff he got.

Isaak had a great day. He "played with friends, colored, and ate rice." I guess we know what his favorite things were. I was worried sending him because everything will be in Chinese, though from what we hear, he should be speaking that language in no time. Maybe he'll be able to help his parents out soon!!

For Aunt M

Today I talked to Aunt M who requested more close-ups of Joey's face, so here they are (sorry, but we no longer take requests for close-ups of Andy's face).

Joey was in for his 2 month check-up yesterday. He is now 11 lbs and 22 1/2 in. This kid is all Larsen....he is only in the 25th percentile for both his weight and height. Plus, his head circumference is in the 50th percentile (unlike his siblings whose heads were in the 95th percentile).

On a side note....yes, the all night sleeper seems to be here to stay. He has now gone 4 nights!!!

Where's Waldo??

Can you find Joey in this picture?? He's the one wearing what Andy calls "the Sound of Music outfit." He thinks it looks like the play clothes that Maria makes out of the drapes. I think it's one of the cutest outfits!
