Kung Fu Ike

Bye-bye training wheels!

Ike's been asking to take off his training wheels so he can "balance" for awhile now. Today we finally did it! I kid you not, within 20 minutes he was riding all by himself. Way to go Ike!

Ready to join the Army

Ike got to spend Wednesday afternoon with A Ba. They went swimming, saw this tank, and then went to watch Kung Foo. He was so tired when he got home that he was literally asleep as soon as his head hit his pillow. Thanks for a fun afternoon, A Ba!

Easter pics....finally!

We had a super enjoyable Easter this year, though they should all be that way, shouldn't they? After all, He is RISEN!

The best shot we could get of the three kids
An outdoor Easter Egg Hunt at a little worship service/get together we had with some friends
Joey loved the egg hunt, but loved the water more (it was on a LITTLE island)
Elle's eggs became "scrambled" when she tripped over her bag!
Joe was out within a couple minutes after leaving the lake
Elle's 2nd outfit of the day because she needed to "get dressed". In other words she wanted clothes like the boys, NOT a dress. This skirt was ok because it is shorts.

Decorating Eggs

On Saturday the kids and I decorated Easter eggs (which were actually soft boiled because I didn't cook them long enough..... luckily we weren't going to be eating them)! We even let Joe get in on the action this year, though I think that I now know why they say the dye kit is for ages 5 and up!

Elle's Friday Fight

Today Elle lost her fight with the courtyard gate and ended up with a small, but wide gash on her forehead. When I first saw her, she looked like she had stepped out of a horror film. Her face was covered with blood! Turns out the cut was only a centimeter or so, but did require a couple of stitches. She made it through the ordeal with some sobs, but was ever so happy after!

Random shots

I have been terrible about blogging lately...sorry to the Grandmas and Grandpas especially! Here are some random shots that we took on Sunday.

One of the new dresses Elle got for her birthday

The new shoes that I just couldn't pass up....especially at less than $6!

I LOVE Ike's wink in this pic!
